The empty visit

I thought I'd check out the club about 4 in the afternoon on a Tuesday. (I saw the reviews, but I had enough good memories from OG that I thought I'd check it out myself.). Went in and was greeted with a smile, told only the bar was open on the far left side and wasn't charged a cover. (Old private dance area of OG.). Went in and I have to say they did a apectacular job of remodeling the place. Dancing area on the right, bar in the middle, bar on the right, and bar on the far left. The bar tender was very cute and as soon as I sat down at the bar the manager came over and very nicely apologized, bought me a drink, and told me there were no dancers there yet. He explained they were independent contractors and getting them to come in in the afternoon was proving to be almost impossible. He offered that the bar tender could give me a tour...sure I wanted to see the place. She showed me both sides, explained the bar on the far left side was the main bar now and the middle area was used as overflow. Behind the main bar(to the right of it) was a corridor that led to a "speak easy" in the back. I sat down, talked to her for about 15 minutes. Finished my drink, gave her a $20 tip and was on my way. On the way out the manager came over to me and again appologized that there were no dancers. He gave me his card and told me to come back and give show it at the door and there would be no cover. He also told me to call him if I needed a ride to the club. While I don't know what the club is like while operating, they couldn't have handled a poor situation in a nicer way!
