Really cheap dances, but still not sure they were worth it
I flew into Atlanta on a Sunday afternoon and decided to hit Blaze before making my trek through traffic to the north side where I was staying. Blaze is pretty close to the airport. There was a narrow section of parking, and then a larger lot on the side. I wasn't charged for parking. After a heavy-handed pat down, I was told it was a two-drink minimum but not charged a cover. Water at the bar inside was only $3, and I was never pestered to buy more drinks.
The club is split, with a bar, some seats, and a small stage on the upper level. Down some stairs is another bar, a few more seats, another small stage, and a pool table. When I arrived (maybe 4pm) the upstairs space was relatively quiet and a bit more was going on downstairs. Both stages had dancers on them, who mostly stood or crouched and twerked. The dancers were all black, and varied from very thin to very heavy, averaging somewhere in the middle. None inclined me to stare, but several were attractive enough to be interested in dances.
Dances were $5/song. The songs weren't full length, but weren't crazy short. Many were blended into each other making the changes hard to track. Nearly all of the dancers dropped their bottoms when they started. Many kept their tops on, and then pulled them aside after the first song. The dances were pretty much all just bouncing their ass with a bit of grinding while facing away from me as I sat on a high stool/chair. The effect was something more atmospheric than personal. Many dancers chatted with others, drank, watched the rest of the club, etc. while ostensibly dancing for me. I guess I got a bit aroused and had my johnson knocked around by an ass for a measly $5/song. But it was all kind of weird. Possibly I'd have had a better experience on a lower or otherwise better seat, but any seat was hard to come by.
