Was hoping for a better time
I decided to give a couple Toledo area clubs a shot this week, and Platinum was my first stop. The club is situated in a strip mall in a fairly decent area. As has been noted in other reviews, there's now a metal detector at the entrance. The cover was $10, but I don't think it's usually $5 before 7:00 PM. Turns out they were celebrating their one-year anniversary, complete with raffle and free prime rib buffet. Also, I'm pleased to say that they didn't scan my ID.
The door girl was an extremely pretty young blonde girl with what can only be described as the perfect rack. She was probably the hottest one in the club, to be honest.
The place was decorated for a party, with balloons, etc. The L-shaped bar was mostly occupied, so I found a table and waited for a server. Plat has a lot of TV monitors, most of which featured a slideshow of the dancers, and a couple larger ones were on a sports channel. I noticed that they have added a smaller stage closer to the bathrooms. The music was primarily R&B, Pop, and some Rock/Metal, loud, but not overwhelming. The DJ was hard to understand. Why do so many DJs mumble over the music instead of turning it down a bit first? I like to know dancers' names.
