It’s DC, but if you keep your expectations realistic cloakroom has good eye candy in a nice environment

I was in dc having dinner with some non-club friends and afterwards a couple suggested we go to cloakroom. I feigned innocence and said sure, knowing it was dc and there wasn’t much debauchery to tempt me and I could keep my professional persona intact.

The club is right in downtown NW DC on K street. It was a nice night and the large restaurant on the corner had a healthy presence of full tables outside on the sidewalk. No incognito entrance if that matters to you. Parking can be a challenge. The cloakroom door is kind of understated from the outside. When you enter, the doorman will ask if you’re going to cloakroom or the sports bar. You can take the stairs or the elevator, with cloakroom on the second floor and the sports bar on the third.

Once upstairs, there’s a desk where they will collect a $20 cover. The bar is a big cube, high ceilings and fairly square. Everything in here is nice. The bar, stage and furnishings fit and finish is all very stylish, contemporary and in immaculate condition and cleanliness. Think truly a gentleman’s club.
