I have made a couple of stops at Shimmers since my last review of this club, which resulted in naughty booth fun with a dancer that I have gotten to know fairly well. For that reason, I had no new information and skipped writing about it. She is an experienced dancer at the stage and in the booth, thankfully. With my stop on this last Monday, I was hoping that the above dancer was actually not there and I could find a new experience. You ever develop a dancer “club” relationship and find it awkward to pass on her rack affections? Well, maybe I am the only one. I am generally a morning monger, but today I walked in around 5 PM in hopes that maybe a dancer change has happened. When I walked in, I headed directly to the restroom and in that process took a look at the dancer board. Three dancers were listed of which two I did not know and another I haven’t seen in a while, so mission accomplished.

There is generally plenty of parking at this decent size dive club. For the smokers, there is not much of a place to take care of that and you will see the area to the right when walking to the door. On this late afternoon, no cover, no bouncer, no ID check as I entered. You walk by a smaller stage and the main stage is straight ahead with quite a few tables and chairs scattered around. Left of the main stage are three curtained individual lap dance rooms that each have a small couch and dark sheer curtains on the entries. The main stage is decent size with seating on three sides and a dancer board by the music machine. There are lotto machines along the back, u shape bar with plenty of seating, big screens with different sports playing, bench booths on the other side of the bar, good lighting, food menu, full bar, and strip club scuzzy restrooms past the bar. I find this club to be fairly low-key and generally no pressure for lap dances. I counted eight customers scattered about, with two at the rack.

After the restroom stop, I went to the bar and got a $3.50 coke. There was a fairly heavy young bartender who enjoyed talking to me about her pooch and husband. The problem was, there was a dancer at the stage that I really wanted to check out. The bartender, even though very friendly, was messing with my timing. That dancer came off and heading to the booth with a customer, damn. The next dancer up, I knew fairly well and more about her below. The bartender finally let me go and I headed to the rack. Not a lot of hip-hop music played here, for those like me, that wish that music would die off. I like the rack at this club which is wide enough for dancers to lay/sit on for great looks of the goods. It is not uncommon for dancers to come over the rack and end up in customer’s lap. All three of the dancers and one additional lady that came in to audition, were totally nude by their second song set. I tipped $2 a song. You can get below Portland market ($40 or 3/$100) lap dances here, but the music box cuts off songs at three minutes. Shimmers will contract with dancers that have all types of body styles and ages.
