Successful visit

LA is a big city but there is only one Tropical Lei and I'm glad to see it has endured post-COVID. I stopped by on Thursday at 10 pm and it was going as strong as ever.

The club is in a standalone building off the main road in Upland, with ample parking in front. It's not a bad neighborhood but the bouncer often stands outside the club so he's a deterrent to anyone trying to break into the cars which kind of makes me more comfortable. I had a brief pat down and paid $20 to enter. Inside, it's one big room with a stage against one wall and stools around it. There are tables spread out around the room and benches against the wall for lap dances. There were 10-15 customers, some alone and some in groups. The mood is chill, with guys sitting around, some girls circulating and some sitting with their heads buried in phones. I sat at a table, ordered a $6 bottle of water and settled back to watch the show. Girls danced a set of 2-3 songs at the end of which they were nude, then there would be one song with no one on stage, then repeat. I found the room more brightly lit than I remember on my last visit, which is a little hard on the eyes but I guess better for scoping the girls.

On this evening, there were about 15 girls, I would say mostly Caucasian and Hispanic, with a range of quality at 5-8. A few of them stopped by to say hi and ask if I wanted a dance, which are $20 topless and $40 nude on the benches against the wall, and $120 for the VIP for 3 songs. The songs tend to be long so the VIP probably amounts to about 12-14 minutes. I always negotiate an all-in price for the VIP before going in, and on recent visits I have been quoted anywhere from $300-500 including the $120 for the room. I see that that is a starting point and always negotiate down, usually landing at $200-250. In the case of the $500 quote though we weren't able to reach an agreement. She was a very tall brunette with model-like features that I could see some guys would pay up for.
