I went to the Prairie Chicken on a Saturday night at 20:00. The strip club is on the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation about six miles east of Fort Thompson, the Paddlefish Capital of the World. The parking lot is gravel, and there are camping spots with electrical hookup off to the side of the property. There is a $20 cover charge at the door assessed by owner and operator, Stan. The strip club is inside a modified Quonset hut. There is a runway stage down the middle of the room surrounded by cushioned bar chairs with backs. The stage has one pole about seven feet in height. An upper seating area has a massage table. A small room for bed dances and a small room for couch dances protrude from the parking lot side of the Quonset hut. The strip club is decorated with taxidermy items such as a wolf, a pheasant, a deer head, and a cattle skull.

The Prairie Chicken does not have a liquor license. The Prairie Chicken sells bottles of water for $2 and bottles of soda for $4. You can bring your own beer and alcohol, but you must put it in a plastic cup to bring it inside the building. The club provides plastic Hefty cups. Keep the booze in a cooler in your truck and run out to fill the cup when you run out. There are two convenience stores in Fort Thompson that sell beer and firewater, Shelby's and Crow Creek C-Store. Pizzas are available for $10, but otherwise there is no food available. The ATM inside the club has a $200 maximum withdrawal per swipe and a $10 fee per transaction.

Dancers only got topless on stage. Contact was high at the stage. Tips yielded breasts to the face or a grind in your lap. During private dances, dancers get fully nude. Couch dances are $50 per song, and bed dances are $100 per song. I was told you can touch dancers all over during private dances, but there were no extras. The entire club is rigged with cameras, including the parking lot. If you need to break bills for the stage, you are given change in $2 bills. If you want to tip in $1 bills, you will need to bring a stack of your own.
