Gave It a Shot
I found myself further north than normal. I also found myself hearing a rumor a dancer I used to like might be there. Nearby, had some free time, so I slid into the déjà vu parking lot.
The entrance is kind like an adult store. There’s a cashier, there’s a display case with everything from platform shoes to feather boas. Déjà vu must require certain signage because there’s a humongous sign when you walk in showing a pint of beer, but this is Washington so you’re not getting that to drink. Cover charge to get in its $17. That might be one of the higher ones you’ll find.
The main stage was empty, the secondary stage was dark and not in use. Club had a bunch of little benches set up in a horseshoe around the main stage. I imagine if this club is busy this place is a major tripping hazard. It’s pretty dark in here as well which had me taking very small steps to find a seat.
There’s one customer cuddle up with a decent looking blonde. Sitting together near the ATM was Tia and Adora. I only saw three dancers I’m pretty sure the Robo-DJ announced four different names. Only two girls got in stage. Delight and Jessica are also called. The Robo-DJ also had a few errors, kept saying things about night and evening while it was early afternoon.
When I asked Adora after were just four dance working. She misunderstood me and said yes, they’re 40D. I took a glance at her chest and thought she’s probably correct. Adora sales tactic was pretty tempting. I had to make small talk she kept on rubbing my leg. Then she ventured a little further. Definitely hard to say no when you’re getting a preview like that.
