Union Jacks, A Sensual Delight

A first visit to Union Jacks, on a spring Saturday nightfall, brought on a sensual delight from several different sources. It definitely differs from other Portland strip clubs once one steps into the vistuble and passes the security gate. The ID was observed hastily and held up to a video cam and then the posted 5$ cover was waived off, appears 8pm is early.

The bar is impressive, from the stools to countertop to the liquor display. It makes one feel good about themselves, in a nice place and in it's day. Top shelf held many good Scotch bottles, front and center was the beer bottle cooler inviting exploration. One could sit there and have a proper session if the talent about didn't distract.

The main stage is quite high, u shaped and tall fixed pole in the center. The rack seating is comfortable and it puts the eyes on level with the stage floor. There's an interesting 8-10" metal screen on the rack circumference which precludes a performer from sitting on the edge doing stunts on top of the eyeballers. However, one performer slid over the screen like a cat onto the lap of a surprised gent.
