After a long time away, I don't feel like I've been missing much at The Venue
It's been a while since I've been back to strip clubs, and I decided to pop into The Venue to see if I would enjoy myself there as much as I did a few years ago when I was last there. The club itself was pretty much as I had remembered it, and the waitstaff was friendly and prompt. I can't speak to the cocktails, but the beer I had was delivered quickly.
Decor-wise The Venue is maybe a rung above a dive bar club, but that's not the reason I went there. I went there to see some dancers... And I have to say the day shift during my visit was not exactly top tier.
For my taste, there were only a few strippers that I would even consider getting a dance from (raven-haired Ellie and a very attractive black dancer whose name I didn't catch), and the rest were quite a bit older or heavier than I would normally go for. Additionally, nearly all of the dancers seemed generally preoccupied with their regular timewasters and didn't seem interested in attempting to sell private dances to anyone. This was fine, mostly, since I wasn't that interested in getting a dance from many of the 7 or so dancers that were working during my visit. I left after one beer and about an hour, generally deciding that I didn't need to go back anytime soon.
Overall The Venue itself is how I remember it, but time away had not been kind to many of the dancers that I saw on my visit there.
