Nothing spectacular, but a good time

Dream Girls is in an industrial section of Lincoln Park and has a large, safe parking lot with no valet. I walked in the door around 12:30 AM, and I was not surprised to find the place extremely busy late on a Saturday. The cover that night was $20 and there's a coat check. They also check your ID. The club itself is three stories, and is one of the better looking clubs in the area. Not quite Flight Club in terms of clas, but way, way above a Hank's or Bogarts. DG has good lighting, but also the usual mindless Electronica, R&B, Hip Hop, and Pop played loudly. The stage has three poles and on a night as busy as Saturday they had all three occupied at all times.

I succeeded in finding an empty table near the DJ booth, a spot I like because there's a digital roster of the dancers on duty in that area. I often have trouble hearing or correctly interpreting the names of the dancers (or guessing the spelling of an unusual name), so I like to park myself nearby in the interest of accuracy.

The delightful blonde server Whitney got me a beer for $6, and I sat back to see what I could see. Before too long, a dancer named Chanel came by to see if I wanted dances. Since I had just arrived, I asked her to check back with me later. This was probably a mistake, because Chanel was probably the hottest young lady in the place, and there were some seriously good looking dancers there. She never did come back. In any case, I also wanted some time to gather information. The sacrifices I make for you people.
