A decent Friday afternoon

Made it by Gold Club for the first time in quite a while. Visited on a Friday afternoon and the place was starting to gear up for the evening. I’d say that there were 10-12 dancers working. Several new faces but also a few who have been there for a while. But, like any club, it has its turnover.

As others have noted, the video poker machines are gone. This was a big bummer for me as a I tend to grab a beer (~$6) and go make a donation to our school system on the machines before surveying the rest of the scene. This allows me to get a feel for who is working and if there are any girls I’ve had a good experience with rather than get hit up for a dance immediately at the bar.

On this visit I grabbed my beer and as soon as I turned around was greeted by a girl who seemed more hustle than substance. Luckily she moved on quickly and I made eye contact with a dancer I’ve enjoyed the company of in the past. She came over and joined me at the bar and I bought her a drink. We visited for a while before going back for two rounds of 3 dances.
