Relaxed and slow, yet amazing Wednesday night

I submitted another review for 939 after I had visited it for the first time on a late Saturday night. I've come here a couple other times on a Friday and a Sunday but for very short periods of time (~10 minutes), hence no additional reviews or addendums to the first review for those Friday/Sunday visits. Despite my mixed review and some of the negative experiences I had there I went again, this time on a Wednesday evening of this week. I think it goes without saying that weekend versus weekday clubbing yield very different experiences. Subsequently, I had an amazing time this time around and learned more about this club compared to the last time; therefore, I felt it was necessary to write a second, almost completely different review. And no, this is not a club/shill ad, I'm not a promoter- I just got into SC clubbing and made the newbie mistake of going to a higher quality club on a busy night the first time.

Went in at ~9:30 pm on Wednesday. Different bouncer this time, very chill. Cover was $11. $5 off first drink as usual. I think the cover for out of state is either $13 or $15, I may be wrong. Club was pretty slow- maybe 15-20 custies including me. Bathroom attendant who was there on the weekend was not there this night, which was a bummer as he's fun to talk to, albeit in an awkward bathroom setting. There were around 12-13 dancers total- 2-3 Asian (one of them being the tall one from my previous review), couple hapa, couple AA, 5-6 white, 1 Latina. Most of them I found to be 7-8's hands down, a couple 9's. The dancers were pretty relaxed when it came to stage dancing that night- it was a weekday, plus custies were barely tipping. The most money I saw on stage was maybe $20. Tonight was more of a buy a drink or LD night for most custies including myself. One thing I think worth mentioning is that 939 is different from the others clubs in Hawaii in the sense that many dancers may not approach you upon entering. 1. It's a decent-sized club, so it takes longer to get approached or find a specific dancer. 2. A good amount of dancers I've talked to both times I've come here have told me they work bw Hawaii and Vegas (or a few other major cities if not Vegas), and how they're used to more lavish custies and lifestyles there than they are here. Mind you, this is probably the nicest and only Vegas-esque club here.

Many of the custies were at the opposite end of the club, either in the booths or at the stage on that side. This worked in my favor since that meant the bar and nearby first stage (i.e., entrance area)- where most of the dancers hang out- was not busy at all. I took a seat at the bar and just sat back and chatted with the bartenders for a while. After a few minutes got approached by a dancer, we chatted a good amt. Very down-to-earth and easy to talk to. Didn't push for drinks or LD; instead, she stayed to chat for a while even though I openly told her mid-convo that I was not interested in buying drinks or LDs off the bat that night, which I thought was nice of her. Within a couple minutes of her leaving, another dancer approached me. We talked for a good 45 minutes at the least. Towards the latter half of the conversation I definitely felt more welcomed than last time and was open to buying her a drink. Like the previous dancer, this dancer did not ask for drinks either. One of the waitresses asked if I would like to buy her a drink, and at this point I was really warming up to this club, so I bought her one drink ($20). I think they get bonuses or something for each drink bought, hence the relatively low drink price, idk for sure though. I'm also pretty sure this club is the only one in Hawaii that charges $20 for dancer drinks, the rest are $40 I believe. There's one club in particular (PM me if you want the name) where I paid three separate drinks for a dancer ($40 each, she got half of each), only to have her leave after the second and third drinks and not come back, granted that happened at 1 am while there were some tourists. I know, I know, I was a dumbass. In 939 they definitely did not do that.
