Surprising full nude-booze for a location smack in the middle of a tourist area

Club Saratoga is located in the historic district of Canal Park on Lake Superior in Duluth. The club is a store front with other non-sexual businesses to either side. There is plenty of tourist type parking. Entrance from the front. 7pm on a Wednesday evening, and very cold in January with some snow coming down. There is a $5 cover. The bouncer was friendly, to the point of he and I having a conversation at the bar for a few minutes. I paid $3.50 for a bottle of water.

The small stage is near the back to the right of a very impressive bar on the left. There is a lot of table seating in the bar area, and some table seating near the 2 foot high stage. The stage has a low iron railing about 3 feet high from the floor (1 foot high from the stage side) around it, and the two corners of the stage have ornate iron railing pillars about 12” to a side that rise to the ceiling. Some of the girls hang their tops and bottoms here, but most go back behind the curtain and take their clothes off backstage. The club website does have a dancer schedule of between 4 and 8 dancers each night on a weekly posting schedule. There were six on the schedule this night, but there appeared to be a few more girls who were not on the schedule and just hanging out with regulars in the bar area. They were dressed to perform, but they didn’t take the stage.

All six girls on the schedule were there and took their turns on stage. There is also some down time when the girls changeover. It seems like the girls minimize their time on stage while adhering to the 15 minute per girl on stage rule. This is annoying in that the stage is empty while they are not there. To be honest, there were about 15 regulars in the bar area, but only me and two other guys seemed interested in the dancers, and them only with one dancer, Haily. The girls said they have the stage for 15 minutes, whether there is anybody at the tip rail or not. They select their songs from a juke box next to the stage before they go on. The girls circulate the room between time on stage, but stay back stage sometimes too. This may have been due to the bad weather outside and the low tourist count in the club, but it seemed like a norm.
