Light Entertainment on a Sunday Evening

I had to make a Sunday drive from one part of NC to another, and Greensboro was not far out of the way, so I stopped in even though it would not be prime time and the pickings might be slim. A PL’s gotta do what a PL’s gotta do, right? I was there from 7:15-9:00 pm, so keep that in mind when you read this review.

Free parking in the large, well-lighted lot. The sign on the front door said “Masks Required,” so I put one on. Upon entering the front vestibule, they have a gal at the desk who checks IDs and collects a cover. I showed her my license and an old (but non-expiring) membership card and was not charged anything. Not sure if that’s because I’m a “member” or they just don’t charge a cover at 7:15 on a Sunday evening. She buzzed me in – and that was the last time I had to wear the mask.

Others have described the club, so I won’t (see gobstopper007’s excellent review posted January 19). Suffice it to say it’s a nicely-appointed club. Bottled water (Fiji) was $5.00 at the bar.
