Been Better, But Not Too Bad
The Admiral is pricey and (at least for me) inconvenient to get to, but I still visited it several times pre-COVID because of the full nudity, the quality of the dancers, and how I was less frequently disappointed by the experience than any other club I've been to multiple times. Recent reviews concerned me, but I still decided to give it my first post-COVID visit on a recent Friday night.
I arrived around 9:15 to discover that they are requiring vax card checks at the door. No prob - I had mine in the car (which I managed to park right across the street) just in case. They are also using metal detectors, which I don't recall seeing on previous visits. The cover charge ($28) and coat check are still the same, and while the signs everywhere say you should be wearing masks, the receptionist up front told me they weren't actually required. I ended up not wearing one, though the majority of the customers were. None of the staff or dancers were wearing them, either.
The layout - all spread out around a theater-style stage with no pole, with curtained-off rooms on the left side - is completely unchanged. There were only a few other customers when I arrived, and so few dancers that they were doing three songs on, two songs off on stage the entire two hours I was was there. Still, more came in over the next couple of hours (up to more than a dozen by the time I left), so none of the dancers were ever on stage a second time during those two hours. Somewhat disappointingly, only one dancer went full nude on stage, and then only briefly; not sure if that's a policy change or dancer's preference. I was also told that at-table dances are now $10 for fully-clothed and $20 for topless in the back areas only - a major change. To get fully nude, you had to get private room dances starting at 3 songs for $100. What hasn't changed is that you still can't get alcohol here, although they do now have some interesting-looking non-alcoholic mixed theme drinks.
