A Surprising Value

I was staying at a hotel a couple of blocks away, so I made the short trek to check out the Men’s Club. I could have walked, but it was cold, so I drove. The club has a large, walled parking lot accessed through a valet station. I don’t know if self-parking is allowed, or if it is valet only. My guess is it probably valet only, but I saw several open parking spaces outside the wall and pulled into one.

The cover charge is $10, and I was charged an extra $2 for a “membership” since I had never been here before. This a large, very upscale club. There is a large main floor with a sunken bar in the middle, and another bar on the left. The large main stage is to the rear and there are two satellite stages, one on either side of the main stage. The VIP area is upstairs in a mezzanine that overlooks the club. I never went upstairs, but it looked like just another open area. I don’t know if there are private VIP rooms up there. Fit, finish, and maintenance on everything is impeccable.

Despite the upscale nature of the club, drink prices are reasonable. I don’t remember the exact prices, but I got several beers and also bought a few drinks for a couple of girls, and the tab came to about $50. Not cheap, but not outrageous.
