Thursday evening in the aftertimes.

Visiting Denver for the week and decided to pretend like we were not in the middle of a pandemic for a night. Figured Thursday might offer a compromise between the option to distance from loud maskless patrons while still having variety on the stage(s).

Visited around 9PM which was around when the club was at its peak for the night. Three stages and a long bar that spans the width of the club. ID Scan, $5 and a pat down to get in.

Grabbed a beer and hung out near the bar for a bit. Real estate at the bar is at a premium with sections occupied by groups of regulars and a few dancers. Not really much room in front of the bar without awkwardly pacing in the way of dancers entering and leaving the dressing room. So I walked over to one of the chairs between the three stages. The two outside stages had dancers that seemed to be doing very long low-energy sets for several songs. The middle stage was on a three song rotation with a mixture of talent and interest. The majority of the dancers are definitely of latin origin and the clientele seemed to be tuned in to the latin vibe. The club seemed to get more energetic when spanish music came on with lulls during more traditional SC music.
