New, largely empty club with a couple of friendly tattooed & pierced dancers

Devil Darlings is in the same neighborhood as PT's, Club Onyx, and a bunch of AMPs. Getting there was slightly confusing, as their big sign is very close to that for PT's, and I initially turned into PT's parking lot. There's a small driveway-like road on the other side of the DD sign that heads back behind PT's to the club. The drive had a few potholes, but the parking lot was lit and in good shape, and there was someone outside at the door each time I visited. I tried the place twice, once on a Thursday about 8:30pm and then again on a Saturday about 10:00pm.

The door man asked for ID, then passed me through the door where I paid a $10 cover. On my Saturday visit they offered me a $20 cover in exchange for a wristband and half-off drinks for the night. After the cover charge, I went through another door into the club itself. It's a good-sized space with a large stage immediately on your right as you enter, and tables with chairs on the left. There's a bar in the back with stools all around it. One of the dancers told me the space used to be a male strip club that went out of business, with the Devil Darlings owners buying the building and renovating. There was lots of black and red and corrugated metal, with a large airbrushed devil face on one wall. It was brighter inside than I expected, and I think it would have been better a little dimmer. There's a secondary stage behind and to the right of the main stage that was never used.

On Wednesday there was almost no one there; Saturday saw a handful or so of other patrons. Water and Coke were each $5. A drink for a dancer (a shot of something in a little beer-mug-like shot glass with whip cream on top to look like a beer) was $7. They had a waitress in addition to the bartender, and both were attentive, but weren't at all tested by high demand.
