Nice interior, but nearly dead in the afternoon

I haven't had great luck hitting a club while en route somewhere else (see Hip Hugger), but I was road weary and decided to take another chance and stop at the Deja Vu in Springfield. It was easily accessible from the interstate (maybe 5 minutes off of I-55). It's a large club with a very large parking lot, some of which was closed for resurfacing when I arrived about 3:00pm on a Wednesday afternoon. There was a sign on the door that said masks were required, and the bartender and cashier were wearing them, but dancers were not.

The entry takes you into a brightly lit sex shop with videos and toys and the cashier that charged me a $12 cover. Then you go down a hallway to reach the entrance to the club itself. It's set up as one large open space. There's a small bar on the right, then a bunch of tables and chairs. The floor descends a handful of steps to another level with more tables and chairs. The stage is on the back wall, elevated from the floor. There's an arc of chairs set up next to a rail, with a walk space between the rail and the stage. It reminded me a bit of one of the clubs in Miami where the dancers would stroll through the space to get tips after their stage sets. The spacing would prevent any sort of interaction with the stage performer and someone sitting there, though of course you'd get a close-up view.

I got a Coke at the bar, apparently included with my $12 cover. A sign on the wall indicated additional soft drinks were $3 each. The space felt huge, partly because it was nearly empty. There were only two other patrons sitting, and one left shortly after I arrived. There were three dancers - one thick black dancer with big T&A, one tall, thin white dancer, and one petite white dancer. They were all fine looking, though neither special nor off-putting. Despite there being only 2-3 patrons, the dancers performed on stage, and put some decent effort into it. They all got topless on stage. There were breaks between them with no one performing.
