Improving Incrementally

Since my earlier lukewarm review of this place a couple months back I've recently hit it about three times, so this review will be based on my cumulative impression. Overall, it is improving! This time I arrived about 10:15PM on a Thursday night. Walked in, endured the minimal pat-down, and paid the reasonable $5 cover; they have wisely kept the cover low even in prime times. Other reviews describe the club so I will just summarize by saying it is a medium-sized structure in a residential area with a large parking lot. Inside it is a medium-sized rectangular room, with a rectangular bar all the way around a long rectangular stage. It is simple, decently comfortable but nothing special at all in the decor or set-up. But I don't go to strip clubs for the decor.

When I walked in there was a decent crowd; I'd say 25 customers and around 8 dancers; over the course of two hours, three or four more dancers came in while a couple left. The average quality of dancers has gone up a notch; only a couple dogs, with most in the 5-6 range, with on some nights a couple 8's or 8+'s. The atmosphere was down to earth, loose and and a good-time vibe; the extremely friendly and attractive barmaid contributed to the atmosphere. And while the dancers--who were mainly African-American with two white dancers--only modestly attractive they made up for it by mostly being very friendly, with an "up" energy, and most really dancing onstage and relating to the customers; they were sexy! There were a couple--Nicki and Unique (who used to dance at Atlantis)-- that I was tempted to take back for private dances but I was holding out for one of the two hotties I had hoped would coming in. Unfortunately they never came. So I didn't get any private dances this time.

The main thing holding back the rating on this club at this time is that normal private dances are in an area that is not very private--just little open booths behind a flimsy curtain opposite the desk of the guy who takes admissions (though neither the bouncer nor the admission-taker monitor what's going on) AND for that they charge $30 per record. A reasonable charge would be $20 per record. So far most of the dances I've gotten here have only been fair, decent mileage but nothing exceptional. Although on my last visit, one of my two faves gave me a couple really above average dances with a lot of contact and roaming allowed but not enough stick-shifting action and certainly nothing more than that. My other fave commented during the private dance that she could be a little more "kinky" in the VIP but it is ridiculously expensive, something like $250 for 20 minutes or something like that. But she said for her to get really kinky it would have to be outside the club. Despite her giving me her number so far she has not made good on that offer. To sum up, it was an enjoyable hang in a semi-party atmosphere with some decently attractive dancers but the big limitation is the cost and benefits of the private dances--though I think the benefits are slowly increasing.
