A bit disappointing, given expectations, though still a decently entertaining time
Palomino has historically been my favorite club in Las Vegas, and I generally make at least one stop there when I'm in town. My latest trip included an evening at Palomino, though it wasn't quite what it's been in the past. I tried getting a ride from the club on a Thursday evening, but they would only pick up groups of two or more, so I took a Lyft out to Jerry's Nugget, arriving a bit after 9pm. After walking across the street to the club I was charged a $30 cover. In the past I think this has included a drink ticket, but it didn't this time and I don't remember for certain. Once in, a bottle of water was $7 and a Coke was $6.
Entry to the club starts in a hallway that heads past the bathroom on the left and a side show room on the right before ending at the main floor. There's a long stage coming out from the back wall with a circle at the end, seating all around it, and then tables and chairs. There's a bar area raised slighty on the far left, with some view of the stage. On my last trip (before covid) they had added VIP booths with heavy curtains to the back of the side room. Those are gone, I think to make room for more regular (and spaced) seating. They still have the small floor-level stage there.
The stage show was good, but not as good as it has been in the past. Some of the performances were a bit boring, and few of them were as really entertaining as they've been on previous visits. To be fair, most of them were still better than at most other clubs.
