The Demise of the Lido Room

Wow - I was at Hustler/The Lido Room on a recent Friday night and I left after an hour. Here's why.

The NYC Hustler club is on the far west side of the city. "The Lido Room" is sharing a space with the club. When you walk in there is a hustler stage to the right, chairs and sofas on the left and in front of you. Further back there is a bar. Behind the bar is a long hallway with dance rooms and bathrooms. The second floor has some additional private rooms and there is a rooftop deck as well for smoking.

I am on the Lido room email list - and I believe the pricing for Hustler customers is different than that of Lido customers. The cover was $20 and included a free drink - that's the only good thing that happened. I got my free drink at 9:45pm. I just got beer - but after the free one it was very affordable at $10. The Lido girls normally come in dressed as "girl next door" or in dresses while the Hustler girls are dressed appropriately as strippers for the most part. Lido girls have a wristband just like Lido customers do.
