Changes at Crazy Horse
Along with other Bay Area and California businesses, masks are now again required at Crazy Horse. I am writing to correct the impressions in the most recent review by lookslong. He reported he used to be a regular but had not been back in 5 years. Then he wrote, "Nothing has changed there in years. Same layout." That's not true. Even pre-Covid they made some changes. One-third of the theater seats were removed and replaced by a walled off VIP section. You may get a $20 lap dance there. And they finally reupholstered the bench seating in the lap dance room. Crazy Horse has new management. In a prior review I recalled a good conversation with the new manager. One of the matters we discussed with the consistently unfriendly treatment of regular PLs. Unfortunately that has not changed. While they have eliminated the ancient $20 token equipment, cash is now accepted, the 80s version vending machine remains. Was prepared to pay $4 for a Dasini bottled water but after taking two $1s the machine would not take anymore bills. After waiting for assistance handyman dour David came to help. He explained he could go get 8 quarters or return my $2. What? A machine with beverages starting at $4 now required payment in quarters? I took my money back and left.
The review mentioned $160 for ten minutes. For years I have been paying $100 for five songs or fifteen minutes. Made the trip because I saw a familiar name on the dancers' list. Although I had not seen Ladeesi since 2019 she remembered me and we had a good private session. She came over to me to say "Hi," which was fortunate because she'd gone from blond to brunette. Most of my favorites from the preCovid days have not returned. Crazy Horse is mostly the same, business is slow, and Market Street is quiet.
