Lunch beer and dance
So, visited between appointments. Keep that in mind. It was intended as only a short stay.
Building is a can’t miss Green in a very industrial section of the city. Plenty of parking. Clear expectations of behavior and dress upon entering. Walked in through second door and through the metal detector. Bartender Patty waved me through, no ID check or other issues. Large bar directly in front of entry that occupies the left half of first floor. DJ both, bathrooms, stages and a second bar to the right of the entrance occupy the remainder of the floor. Both bars up and running, patrons at both. Lighting is club appropriate and colored; music is steady and loud, but not that you can’t talk over it. Overall clean look. I admit though, the notice on the door describing the attire not allowed after 6( no hoodies, ball caps, colors) probably says something about the evening clientele, though no problems in the afternoon.
The employees. Patty the bartender at the main bar is friendly and in her day was probably a knockout, but she’s got some mileage on her now. She still dresses the part and is very quick to greet and provide a drink and give you the lay of the land. My impression is that she doesn’t miss anything and runs the front of house like a hawk. I would be sure to not get on her bad side. Saw several dancers around, but no one one on any of the stages. I was told by Patty that until about 3, stage time was voluntary and most of the girls worked the crowd instead. About that, most of the girls I saw were glued to a regular and made no effort to greet anyone else. That’ said, saw dancers of white, black and Latino ethnicities and sizes ranging from spinner to more meat on the bones. No one looked bad, and likely you’ll find someone to suit your needs if you can get their attention. I have stopped in a few times and know one of the dancers well, so I was greeted upon entrance and we sat and talked for a bit.
