Decent. Better than expected.
I was in Milwaukee for a single evening and, not expecting anything special, had originally planned to do a mini-tour, starting a bit further out and moving back towards where I was staying downtown. As it happened, I lacked the interest and/or stamina to follow through and ended up just visiting Heart Breakers. It proved adequate, if not exactly special. I arrived about 9:30am on a Wednesday evening via Lyft, which took about 10 minutes via expressway from my downtown hotel. I didn't see any obvious parking, other than a small amount on the street, so I'm not sure what the options are if you drive yourself.
The outside looks big, with an unusually crenellated wall. In through the door you immediately go upstairs and reach the front counter. Cover was $10, and came with a a free ID scan. The club on first impression was smaller inside than I expected from the entrance. The main room is a bar along one wall with about ten stools, a half-dozen four-top tables with comfortable chairs, and a small horseshoe stage with a pole and seats around it. The stage is at floor height with a wall around it for the seats. It had a well-placed mirror on the back wall, however, that made it possible to watch dancers doing floor work from the main-floor tables, even though a direct view was blocked by the rail seats and wall.
Behind the main area is an elevated "VIP" seating section. The host told me it was $20 to hang out there, but I didn't see the point unless you had a big party and wanted some space for your group. There was another section to the club sort of back and to the side of the main room with a longer bar and more tables. That section was probably larger than the first one, with a lots of tables and a long bar (with a pole up on the bar) but was completely empty for my visit.
