When you need a quick fix.....
Its been a long while since my last visit to the PH, and its nice to know things haven't changed. Stopped by around 5:00pm last Thursday. The place is right off route 130, easy to get to and plenty of parking. I was looking for a quick visit, and everything worked to perfection. I don't know if there is a cover charge, but there was no one working the door. I sat down at the bar and ordered a bottle of water, and it was $10, so I think that included the cover. Who knows, who cares. You have the option of BYOB, which is nice if you plan on staying for a while. The bartender will put yours beers on ice for you.
The place is rather dark (which could be a good thing), the bar itself is rectangular in shape, there are private dance rooms in the front, on the left hand side, and in the back. The only place to sit is at the bar. Im guessing there are at least 8 dance rooms. And unlike many places in NJ, they are in fact private, and for a good reason.
After sitting down and ordering my Poland Spring (the bartender was very pleasant), I waited for the parade to start. Despite about 20+ cars in the parking lot, the place wasn't too crowded. Getting a seat was easy. There was one dancer on stage behind the bar, somewhat dancing and flashing her goods. After about 2 minutes, the dancers starting coming by, saying hello, and asking if I wanted a dance. Like every other review you read, this place is all about the "private dance". The first 3 ladies that stopped by were all well past their prime. All with some foreign accent. None were in great shape, but they were half naked, so I would rate them all about a 5. They were all polite, but after declining their dance offer, they would flash their boobs for their dollar tip and move on.
