Not good, maybe it was an off night

After I left OZ, I made the 5 minute drive up to Diamond Dolls, which the reviews and my tuscl member advisors said could be hit or miss. Again, I figured 10p on a Monday night wasn’t prime time, especially at a place with a rep for being hit or miss anyway, but I went in with an open mind. I paid a higher cover than at OZ of 8 bucks and entered to a large X shaped stage with 5 poles. Nobody was on stage so I headed to the bar along the far wall.

From the bar I could see that past the stage was an elevated area that looked like VIP seating with a velvet rope marking it off. To my right were the men’s room and also another room that looked like additional seating (maybe a side stage or place where they’d show a big game?) but nothing was going on in there on this night.

I grabbed a mich ultra for $6 and over the course of an hour saw about 7 girls. There were maybe 10 customers. The girls took the stage one at a time and… each one gave a very listless stage show. There were a few guys tipping the stage heavily but not one of these girls removed their top. This was getting a bit weird. A few girls walked right past me and I tried the subtle approach of making eye contact or smiling and … nothing. There was a slightly odd guy in a I LOVE STRIPPERS tshirt who was tipping aggressively to almost every girl when she took the stage, approaching girls at tables and he was fun to watch. I don’t know what he said but one of the dancers picked up a few of the dollars he dropped on the stage and threw them back at him. That was curious. Even more curious was across the room, a second guy was wearing the same I LOVE STRIPPERS tshirt but they didn’t appear to be hanging out together. Maybe there was a giveaway?
