American Bush
2630 S 300 W South Salt Lake, UT 84115
The Bush has been in my repertoire of clubs for over 20 years. I stayed away from all clubs during CV. I decided to see how it had survived the pandemic. In a word, Meh. In a second word, it's SLC and we take what we can get. But I remembered why I haven't really enjoyed this place for last 10 years. Details below. 1. Parking: 16-20 spots out front on a busy street and all the surrounding businesses tow. The spots are shaded and nice, but the employees also park there so it's always tight and hard to find a spot. Not really customer friendly or welcoming. 2. The girls: 5-7 from what I saw. I've seen a 9 and a 10 over the years. 3. The show: During the day they are largely unenthusiastic dancers. If you sit stage-side, you can get a little tease dance from the girl, which is fun for exactly 1 person in the room. The rest of the time there's very little pole action and a lot of walking around. of the 4 girls I watched, 1 got fully topless, 1 grudgingly pulled her shirt aside to show a boob for about 5 secs at the end of her dance and the other two were in-between. 4. The stage: set up completely wrong. There is a runway that extends into the room, but is that were the pole is? NO. It's in the back corner. No rail, nothing really for a girl to do but walk around. There's a lot of slinking along the back wall. 5. The vibe: completely set up for selling privates. If that's your thing (remember utah, bikini and no VIP) No one sits stage-side except for the tease dance. No interactivity, just patrons skulking back in the shadows. Not to my liking. 6. The walk-around: Bush dancers have always walked around after their set, giving a kiss on the cheek and "offering" you the chance to tip. Well they should, since hardly anyone sits stage side nor tips during the dance.
