Short visit, good time

It had been a long time since I'd been out to Dream Girls, but last night I made it a priority to see if things had changed there. To be honest, the last couple visits I've made there were fairly disappointing, but that about a year and a half ago. Despite my plans to get up early Saturday, I wanted to at least give this place another try, so off I went.

I walked in the door just before midnight and was charged a $10 cover by the lovely door girl. The place was well-lit and far busier than I'd ever seen it; I'm guessing there were about 40 or more patrons there, mostly dudes, but also at least five women. I found what seemed to be the only unoccupied table, near the elevator, and watched the illustrated waitress miss me for about ten to fifteen minutes. Not really her fault, because as I said there were a lot of PLs there. When she finally got around to me, I ordered a $6 beer. There's no smoking inside the club, but I did see a young lady vaping.

There was an attractive African-American girl doing a set and several of the other patrons parked around the stage were showering her with dollar bills. I generally don't go to clubs on weekend nights, but I guess that's how it goes on a busy Friday night at DG. Lots of big spenders throwing piles of cash at the dancers. Most of the ladies were enthusiastic on stage, most of them showing off their abilities on the pole. I didn't see any girls phoning it in, leaning on the pole, or moping around. High energy all the way.
