A Pleasant Party Hang But Not For Serious Players
Hadn't been to this play since it changed its name to Sin City before COVID...it had never been a favorite club of mine; I usually only went if a dancer I liked was dancing there but I went out of curiosity to see what the new iteration was like. The club is up the street from the Purple Orchid, where I stopped first....Orchid was pretty packed with customers and dancers and had a good vibe going but the dancer quality was mediocre at best, MAYBE a 5 average if you like "thick" women...all dancers were AA...given the low level of talent I didn't stay long. Sin City has a huge parking lot; at this time there was no parking fee nor valet parking gimmick... it was pretty full. There was heavy security... first a security guy outside that checks your ID, then just inside where you pay the cover ($20 this day/time) and they check your ID AGAIN plus take a photo of you--which I don't particularly like. Then it's through an airport security type set-up AND a serious pat-down. Turning the corner inside I saw that they had completely revamped the layout; it was always a big space but now instead a huge stage in the middle with huge bar running around it, the bar was off to the right when you come in and the very large main stage is to your left; behind it is a huge screen which this night had the Bucks-Hawks game playing behind the dancer or dancers onstage. There were tables on most of the lower floor, a small stage toward the back on one side and VIP areas along the rear wall. Despite the nearly full parking lot the huge room seemed only about 30% full...there were a fair number of dancers floating around, definitely a notch or two up from the Orchid, an average of about 6.5 depending on your taste with a handful in the 7- 8 range; most were African-American but there were a few white dancers and some who could have been Latinas or Brazilian. I got a beer at the bar and sat at the row of stools facing and overlooking the floor. To my left a couple dancers were chatting; one of them, a pretty long-hair slim-but-not-skinny girl of uncertain ethnicity--could have been Latina, could have been mixed, could have been White--could my eye; she saw me looking at me and gave me a warm smile; I nodded and smiled back but broke off the look as I had just gotten there and wanted to survey the scene. There were a fair amount of civilian women at the tables--a couple looked to be girls-night-out groups; this club has always tended to have a fair number of female customers, often but not always gay. Usually each stage had one or two dancers onstage at at time; honestly very few were exciting in their dancing and truth-be-told most of the customers didn't seem to be paying them any attention. The rest of the dancers moved around the club but tended to cluster in and around the VIP areas, figuring I guess that's where the money was. The music was loud hip-hop/urban...everything seemed well-organized and smooth-flowing but somewhat soulless. There was no dollar parade and virtually no hustle that I could observe. In over an hour, not one dancer approached me. And there were three or four who I would have welcomed and indeed try to catch their eye. Some dancers were hanging out talking to each other. But in fairness, it was still before midnight and historically this place got going after midnight. I was thinking about moving out but for-the-TUSCL-cause I figured I'd go out of my to get a dance with one of the better -looking dancers to see what the "VIP" section was like now. As luck would have it, that first girl who had smiled at me appeared at the end of the bar, talking to another dancer. I managed to catch her eye and she came over--but I should not it took two or three nods of my head plus a "c'mon" gesture to get her over. Anyway she was friendly and looked great so I asked what the dance situation was> She said the "V.I.P" was $20 for wrist band that was good for the whole night and $30 song for her. So we went back; it was in the same area as the old VIP layout but the up to 50 little office-cubicle settings for private dances were arranged differently and along with wall were with a bit more space. Not much privacy but there was no one monitoring and we were the only ones in the room ( I forgot to check for cameras). She--her name was Sunny--commenced dancing, not a good grind but basically undulating all over me; she took of her top and was fine with my hands roaming all over her body except the kitty. Turns out she was from South Jersey and this was her first dance gig, so a rookie. I could tell she was a basically a nice girl trying out this work, willing to please but only up to a point. The was dances were enjoyable enough that I got four or so (when I asked how many she said "four or five", she wasn't sure--definitely a rookie1); I said I'd pay her for five. As I needed cash we went over to the ATM at the entrance to the VIP, drew out $100 and gave it to her. She didn't count it, thanked me and after I left the club I realized I had mistakenly calculated $20 / dance so in reality had shorted her $20 to $50, depending on whether it was four or five dances. Too late as after her dances I left the club. So to some up, this place seems like a party/hang out place were it is all about the atmosphere and not about the private dances. The dancers are reasonably attractive and the club is reasonably pleasant. I suspect with the right dancer, the VIP experience could be more intense if you found a more private corner...but that's just speculation. I wouldn't go out of my way to come to Sin City but if I just wanted to have a beer or two and relax watching some reasonably attractive dancers it would be ok.
