Casa Diablo is pretty familiar to most Portland residents but for out of towners you should know that it's kind of legendary in a town with a record setting number of strip clubs. They advertise that they have the best private dances and by most patrons standards I think its a fair claim. Quite energetic and interactive. As is the floor show. If you appreciate high energy and sass factor I would check this place out. There are also a lot of girls working there on a given night... more than most any other club as far as I know. And it certainly seems full considering the size of the space. On my first trip there were more girls than guys. Admittedly I arrived fairly early. The club itself is in the north western industrial district, north of down town. A bit of a drive for most locals but the positive side is that you don't have to pay to park and you will probably not have an issue with vehicle vandalism... which is certainly an issue in many parts of town. Inside the club is a single main stage surrounded by small tables and bench seating. There are currently no seats at the stage presumably because of quarantine concerns. Near the main stage is a sort of penalty box where girls wait their turn to dance... or so I presume. I'm not fully sure how it works. In front of this is the bar. There is nice big outdoor area for smoking or just getting some air. This is generally where I go as the loud music grinds my eardrums a bit. Where ever you decide to post up the girls will approach you and visit with the purpose of selling a private dance. Some are chill and friendly. Some are fairly forward. If you do buy a dance you settle up with the floor manager and then are directed to one of the private rooms. They are comfortable enough but could probably use an update. When its busy you can see the other dances transpiring. Which didn't bother me but if you are shy about such stuff just be aware... The menu is vegan and supposedly pretty good. The only thing I ate was a garden salad. Which was fine but in no way remarkable. I'm told the taquitos are the thing to order.
