HIgh mileage, low energy

Went last Saturday night about midnight and was surprised to see it so low-key given the recent lifting of COVID restrictions. Temp check at entry and (free!) masks were required in the lap dance area, but that was the only rule and they weren't too strict about it. There were 6 or 7 girls, and they were actually hotter than I remember from my last visit a few years ago. All 20s to early 30s, white or hispanic. Only one (Sapphire?) was highly "modified" but it didn't stop her from giving a great dance.

However, the energy of the place was near zero. The DJ was playing pretty low energy music, and the girls that were on stage gave it minimal effort for the most part. Couldn't blame them as at most 2 guys were seated at the stage at any given time, and often it was zero. One dude even got chased out for not doing any tipping whatsoever. A long-time dancer said the GGR mojo has been on the decline for a few years. Seems some of the girls are making bank doing camming and dancing is an afterthought, and the pandemic is keeping most of the regular customers away.

I remembered from prior visits that it's a pretty low-hussle place; most girls used to do a slow tour of the bar to solicit dances after their stage time but weren't annoying about it. But in my two+ hours there this time, only one dancer did this. A couple of them approached whoever happened to be sitting or standing near the private dance room, but nothing more than that. I don't enjoy the constant soliciting at some clubs, but I also didn't expect to have to beg to spend my money. It wasn't just my ugly fat ass; they weren't even working the younger better looking customers. The girls mostly just sat at the bar or in their lounge staring at their phones between stage calls. I still like the layout of GGR: simple and not cluttered with a lot of tacky furniture. Just a big bar with good views of the stage and plenty of room to interact with the girls -- back when they used to do that.
