Hurry up and get back to the old days
I've been back to Pandoras a couple times since reopening, and both times have been disappointing. I haven't been able to locate any of my previous regulars (Nova, Morgan, Allie) and all the new faces seem standoffish or just not my type. Entry is the new standard: temp check, cover, soda, etc. The first dancer on stage was a larger black girl who had a nice smile but zero else going on. After her set, she came over and sat on my lap and asked if I wanted a dance. I always try to be polite when I decline, and she wasn't any pushier, just said she'd come back later. The problem was that this tiny interaction left me stinking like her perfume for the rest of the day. I literally hotboxed my car with a cigar just to try and cover it up, but that hardly made a dent.
The next couple dancers were equally lackluster: another black girl with pancake boobs and a non-existent stage presence; someone who I recognized from the old Rick's two decades ago. Then crickets. Literally no one on stage for a couple songs. I could hear and see more dancers coming out of the dressing room to chat with the managers or do whatever they do behind the booth, so I expected more. One thin blonde looked particularly enticing. Then they called up the next dancer, and it was the first one I saw when I walked in. Realizing that the rotation would be limited, I cut my losses. Total about 45 mins and no joy. Might try again if I hear that it's improving, but not for a while.
