Went looking for a strip club and ended up at a fraternity party (sarcasm)

Visited Porthole Pub (PP) on Saturday eve 5/15/21 ~10:30pm after a 14-month Covid hiatus – PP is in a low-rent, fairly-good-sized shopping center, so plenty of free-parking at night; at night they typically have the first-row of parking-spaces closest to the door coned-off and charge I think $5 for those spaces; all the other rows are free to park although at times I’ve been charged $2 to park anywhere but it’s not the norm - during the day when the other shopping-center businesses are open parking is more difficult but I’ve always been able to find a spot just farther way from the door (no parking charge on dayshift nor coned-off spaces) – PP is in a low-rent area; there is a Wells Fargo bank across the street where a couple of years back they started disabling the ATMs at 8pm at night b/c of people getting held-up – i.e. do not use those ATMs at night (I’ve used them during the day) – also keep you head on a swivel particularly at night as your walking from your car to the club-door or vise-versa as again this is a low-rent area – there is usually at least one staff person outside the door at night and I’ve never heard anything going down at this place but it’s not the best area – the club is not obvious from outside and just looks like any other business in the shopping-center (the club is the first business in the shopping center on your left as one enters the parking-lot).

No Covid restrictions whatsoever currently at PP (it’s like Covid never happened) – one minor difference is that I got patted down b/f going in (I don’t recall ever being patted down pre-Covid) – the cover-charge was the typical pre-Covid $10 weekend night cover (pre-Covid there was never a cover charge on dayshift till 7pm I think; and weeknights the cover was usually $5).

This club is supposedly the sister club of the popular Diamond Dolls Pompano; but you would never know/assume it from being in the two clubs – these clubs are as alike as Woody Allen and Shaquille O’Neal – the only thing that shows they are sister-clubs is they have the identical dance-booth setup – other than that they’re kinda night-and-day.
