Wish Baby Dolls Was My Neighborhood Bar
The first thing that comes to mind when driving up to Baby Dolls is, "who thought to put a strip club here?" This is a neighborhood bar in a little residential area in suburban Philly. Parking is free, either on the street or in the lot next to the bar.
On a Saturday evening it was a $10 cover. Keys and phone go around the metal detector, and something went to my forehead (don't know if it took my temperature or sucked out what was left of my brain). There's a square bar to the right of the entrance, with a small stage and pole in the center, and luckily there was one last seat. There's another pole and stage in the back left that I've never seen used except for practice. Love it that there is no smoking inside.
My beer was only $4 (looks like they range fron $3 to $7 depending on draft/bottle and domestic/import). Each dancer does two songs on the center stage, second being topless, then circles for tips and is announced by the DJ as "now available for private dances." The dancers here come in all colors, ages, and sizes. Some are as talented on the pole as I've seen anywhere and they take pride in their show. Not too many of the dancers are my "type", but they're all among the friendliest I've met anywhere. The club's Instagram page has photos of many of the dancers, and sometimes lists the night's line-up.
