White collar prices in a blue collar town

This club reopened the weekend of April 1st after what was allegedly a lengthy renovation. This was my first trip to Lust so I cannot compare it to how it was before but the overall club was a decent layout, although for the crowds it was drawing the floorspace was entirely inadequate. Entering the building there was a $20 cover and a very thorough groping by security (security was very present in the parking lot as well). Dancers are shoehorned onto two main stages, a small cage, and on the massive center bar as well. One in fact nearly stepped on my beer and was trying to hustle for tips which was very annoying. Every five minutes or so smoke generators on stage spewed their foul-smelling artificial smoke into the air as well. I get the presentation aspect, but damn it was stupid having it go off in people’s faces.

The talent was above average, and there was over a dozen girls there; I imagine they have drawn all the big earners from the shitty little clubs in the area. On a weekend (maybe just while it’s shiny and new) you can forget about any chatting stageside. The club heavily advertises their all you can eat menu on Facebook but heaven knows where you could sit and enjoy the food. If you do want to take a girl back to VIP the rooms were very reasonably priced, but I wouldn’t bother; they all have cameras and you’re going to get barely any contact, let alone have some real fun. Bring all the cash you need as well; the ATM has a $10 fee, the worst I have ever seen in a club to include Las Vegas. The bathroom is fairly nice though; hopefully it will stay that way.

If you live in the area and just want to club, Lust is fine. It isn’t worth a drive from DC, and you’re far more likely to get some action in one of the seedier clubs in the area than here. I might come back for a feature dancer, but other than that, pass.
