In these sorta-post Covid times, here's an update on the evolution of club life at Downtown Cabaret. It's becoming my primary club since things have reopened and I'm happy to report things are steadily improving.
This review is based on nearly weekly visits for the past couple months. And I'll admit that they might be skewwed a bit by a regularness as staff recognize me upon entry and make me feel warmly welcomed.
Check-in/set up: I have not had to show an ID at the door for the past month. No more temperature checks done. Just log name and phone number on a sheet for contact tracing. Signs are posted that wearing a mask is required when moving about the club but you can be mask free when seated. The past few visits, masks are rarely being worn by customers or dancers. Servers and staff are masked up at all times, however. Tables are still spaced out and only six seats stageside. There limited number of seats at the bar. I have not paid cover on any 2021 visits.
