Busy night at Risque. What pandemic?
The Philadelphia version of Club Risque is down on Columbus Boulevard near the Delaware River. There is some parking right next to the building, and a free, monitored lot across the alley. What pandemic? - it was hard to find a parking spot this Saturday evening.
There was a $20 cover charge to enter, plus an expectation of a food purchase plus 2 drink minimum. The main stage is in the center of a large room, with some satellite poles and areas of tables around the outside. It was so crowded, there was no place to sit when I arrived, and the waitstaff had no way of knowing who had gotten food or not (I chose not to get any). I think my beer was $6, but I couldn't hear the bartender and didn't count the handful of ones given back to me.
The thing I dislike most about CR is that they allow smoking. You could see dancers choking, and my clothes ended up smelling like I'd spent 2 days cooking next to a campfire.
