A bit of an out-of-the-way Spanish club.
This club has been open now for about a year in a location that had been closed for a number of years. This used to be the location of the Trophy Club, another one of a family of clubs owned the same people who currently run Treasures, Centerfolds, Splendor, and Cover Girls. I don't know if they still own this club.
The new club name Diosa is a Spanish word for goddess, so you would be right if you thought the club has been re-branded as a Spanish language club aimed at Latin clientele. You would also be right if you thought the place was basically mostly Cubans with some Mexican and other central and south American ladies.
Its location is on the same road as the St. James and Houston Dolls, but on the other side of highway 45. The St. James is the most popular club in this area just north of the airport. It is still doing well, but at about 50% business of its pre-Covid days in the nighttime, but maybe 25% of its pre-Covid business in the daytime. Houston Dolls has been closed since it shut down in March. I have heard that a lot of the Hispanic dancers at Houston Dolls have moved to Diosa. Diosa is about a mile away from the freeway, so you have to make an effort to find it. It is located at the end of a large strip mall, with small signage so it easy to miss. The area is mostly commercial with some apartments but it doesn't seem dangerous. There is a small parking area inside an iron fence. There is also plenty of parking in the strip mall parking area, but it is probably less safe. The entry fee was $10. Drinks were about the same as other clubs: $7 for a beer, and $10 for a cocktail.
