Over-rated and living on past reputation

I haven't been to the Lodge for a while but was lured there by their Monday night steak and lobster special. It is regularly $40 but on Mondays it is only $10. In general, the food at the lodge is very good, and they did not skimp on this meal. It came with a salad and a baked potato and vegetable so it was a very good meal. They also have a tremendous wine list. Despite this great special, there were almost no customers. Part of this is because in the post Covid world, all clubs have seen a huge decline in attendance. Even the better ones are seeing a 50% reduction. Of course, it is also a Monday. It wasn't the cost. Entry was only $9. There was a valet but also plenty of free parking. Drinks were normal strip club prices, about $7 for a beer, and $10 for mixed drinks. Certainly it is not the decor, which is one of the most attractive in Texas. As the name implies, it is decorated as a high end hunting lodge with lots of trophies mounted everywhere. The main room is large and there are several booths off to the back and sides which offer good comfort and privacy for dances. There is a back room library, which is a little darker and more intimate which also offers many booths off to the side for dances. There were a couple of VIP areas but I did not partake. There was nobody in either one.

I would have to say the reason for the lack of attendance is the lack of attractive women. I was surprised to see how few money there were and the lack of general attractiveness. There were about 10 women but I would say most of them were 5 to 7. Most of them were older. One of the dancers told me that they would not hire dancers under 25. They are attempting to present a more mature selection. Also, all dancers must wear evening wear. This does not mean that there can't be dancers that are appealing, but it is going to be harder to keep the degree of appeal high. They had 3 stages going, but would take a few songs break between sets of 3 girls.

I sat with a couple of girls. One of them was very aggressive and I normally wouldn't have picked her because she was only a 5 or 6. However, she had a good personality and was interesting to talk to. She gave pretty good dances but I was not into her, so I only had a few. Dancers were $20 with her.
