Back at the Dragon

I had plans on going to the reopening of Club Rouge on this day, but apparently Rouge delayed their reopening, so they weren’t open. Golden Dragon is across the street from Rouge, so I decided to check out the Dragon.

I strolled into Golden Dragon at around 7pm on a recent Saturday. They just reopened a couple of weeks ago. The hours now are Wednesday-Saturday 6-10pm. They do a pat down and temperature check. You then walk up the long flight of stairs to pay the cover. The cover is $10 everyday. Part of the reason the cover is higher than other places in Portland is because the Dragon is a juice bar, no alcohol, so they obviously get no alcohol sales.

As stated above this club is a juice bar, so customers that are 18 and up can come to this club. I saw a lot of 18 and 19 year old guys on this day. Dancer wise there were a couple of 18 year olds, but most of the girls were in their early to mid 20’s with a couple of them being over 30. Anyways back to the club, you can buy a red bull or sprite etc at the “bar”. There is 1 main stage, and 2 smaller ones in the back. 2 stages were in use. You are allowed to sit down and tip the girls on stage, and the girls are allowed to grind on you. Before COVID they had pool tables you could play on, it looks like they have removed that for right now post COVID.
