Recon mission Porthole Pub

Had an hour to kill late Sunday afternoon so decided to do a recon scout of the Porthole Pub. This small club is at the end of a strip shopping center that has several other busy stores. So even though there is a decent sized parking lot, at times it can be full. However, Sunday afternoon parking was no problem. They did a temp check, no charge for parking and no cover to get in. They do ask you to wear a mask when not seated and even reminded me when coming out of the bathroom, (didn’t consider that a bad thing in South FL). The waitress was the cutest girl in the establishment and got a $3 Bud light. Not sure if the prices go up at night.

When you enter, you’ll need to give your eyes a minute to adjust. A square bar is right in front of you and seats 20. To the left is the stage with two poles and 7–8 tables and chairs on either side. Several big screen TVs, the biggest had the Dolphin’s game on. Towards the back left are the bathrooms and several curtained booths.

When I arrived there wasn’t anyone on stage. Most of the dancers were sitting with the customers. Shortly there after, girls did start rotating on stage doing three song sets. Some went topless, others seemed like they waited for tips. No one was getting any dances in the bar area, although I did see a few couples coming from the curtained booths. There were seven dancers and 15 customers when I arrived. One Latina, the rest were WOC in the 3–7 range (tilted towards the lower end of that scale).
