Dreamgirls reopens....the good and the bad

Dreamgirls is now open....just Friday and Saturday nights 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. (although the sign on the door actually says from 8 p.m. to 3 p.m.!). Cover and unlimited soft drink charge at the door is $23. There were no other Covid precautions or registration at the door.

I don't think I've been in this place for at least a couple years, but it looks nearly the same. Stage chairs have been replaced with tables and chairs, which seems kind of odd.

The DJ here is totally obnoxious and seems to think he is the star of the show. His mic volume is twice as high as the music and he can't seem to go more than 90 seconds without saying something. Often, it's a warning that masks must be worn at all time and no cellphones allowed at the stage. What was especially funny was that nearly every song he'd venture out of his cube, walk halfway up the ramp leading to the stage and scan the crowd for possible offenders.
