I went to Belle Starr Gentlemen’s Club at 22:40 on a Thursday night. There was a $3 cover. Sincweisers were a very affordable $3. The Thursday night specials were $2 Michelob Ultras, $2 Hot Damns, $2 Rum & Cokes, $3 Boulevard taps, and $4 Kahlua Creams. The crowd was mostly 21 to 40 year old guys with a few couples thrown in. Few customers tipped much at the stage or bought private dances. Many patrons seemed content to just shoot pool, throw darts, drink, or gamble on the poker machines. The DJ plays a cornucopia of rock, country, and hip hop.

Upon entering the long building, there are three pool tables, five dart machines, and a vending machine with chips and candy bars on the left side of the room. There is a t-shirt and lingerie shop across from bouncer station at the entrance. Straight ahead and mostly to the right is a W-shaped bar that backs the back wall. On the far right side of the room is a corner stage with a spinning pole. The club considers itself a casino with approximately eight gambling machines along the front wall, about half on the left and the rest on the right. The ATM has a $5 fee per transaction, $200 is the maximum that can be withdrawn per transaction.

The quality of dancers was not very high across the board, but two of the seven dancers were fuckable. Dancers are generally white or Native American. Dancers strip down to topless on stage. There was no contact at the stage. After tipping about forty bucks and barely getting acknowledged, I gave up on tipping. Topless lap dances are $25 per song. VIP dances are $125 for fifteen minutes or $250 for thirty minutes. If each song is about three minutes, the pricing between private dances and the VIP sessions are a wash. Customers cannot touch dancers during private dances, but dancers can touch the customers. Dancers were generally low hustle and thankful for stage tips, even if they were not always attractive. The bartenders were friendly and one even comped me a Sincweiser. They made me feel like I was Cliff Clavin drinking at Cheers.
