Independence Day visit
This club had a lot of energy given the times we are living in, far more than a club down the street on this Saturday afternoon. Parking out front was free and plentiful at 3:00 when they opened. There was no tip jar, no entry fee. Got my temperature taken, showed my i.d., and in I went. If I recall correctly there's a small area with pool table and some chairs to the right, the bar is straight ahead, and the main stage is to the left a few steps down in a lower area with more seating where most of the floor dances take place.
Right at opening there were numerous girls on the floor, maybe 10 or 12. Most black, some latino, and the one American white dancer who was the reason I made the trip. It was her first day at Platinum, and I know her from a nearby club yet to be re-opened. Also Cupcake from F was there, a beautiful, friendly black dancer. Dancers were friendly to me I was impressed (i'm an over the hill white guy). 3 stopped by during my 1 hour 15 minute visit and chatted.
Masks: Most or all of the employees were wearing masks, even dancers. I was wearing one but I noticed many customers were not. Overall it felt pretty safe relatively speaking.
