I believe Shadowcat's review will be published before this one, but I thought it would be helpful to provide my observations and thoughts on the relaunch of Follies. Most agree that the original was lightning in a bottle, but I am always looking for the potential commonalities that might offer another Follies type success. I'll explain more, but I think this club just might stand a chance at success.

The new Follies is a small club located in an industrial area just a few miles north of I-285 on Moreland Avenue, so it should be convenient for most people. Traffic was not very heavy in the area and the parking lot, entry drive and building were easy to find off Moreland. There are a number of trucking and freight facilities in the area, so gentrification and community/municipal pressure shouldn't be a problem.

(I'm knocking on wood as I type this). The parking lot was small but seemed to have spaces on the front side, and it is my understanding that the club has permission to use a lot beside them. Parking was $5, as was the entrance fee. There was armed security that did a light pat down.
