No More $5 Dances

Whenever I would come to Atlanta, I would make it a point to stop at Pinupsatl and get me some $5 Dances. I hadn't been to Atlanta since the pandemic, so this my first trip back to Pinupsatl post 2020. The parking was still the same so I paid $20 for the regular that located at the back of the building. $20 entry and everything seems the same. We walk in the building and the first thing I notice is the VIP area has a $20 charge. It used to be $10. Inflation, I guess. My brother and me grab some drinks and go sit at a non VIP table. (The only difference with VIP is that all the dancers work that area first. If you want consistent attention, this is the area for you.) A Dominican dancer introduces herself and asks for a dance. I wasn't feeling her too much but I trying to find my groove so I ask how much to confirm nothing has changed since my last visit. She said $10. My heart dropped. Not the home of the $5 dollar dances. I paid $20 for two songs but couldn't get over the disappointment of the dance price increase. It knocked my budget in half. When I'm in Atlanta, I'm usually staying downtown. The $5 dances made it worth my while to drive to Decatur. Anyway, my brother was talking to fine dancer named Hershey. Her name was accurate. He bought me a dance from her and she lifted my spirits. We here now, so let's enjoy ourselves. I got another dance from a girl whose name i can't remember but she was cool. As we are getting ready to leave, two dancers approach us and start a conversation. I begin my convo with Fine Ass Cj and decide to get a dance before we leave. Best dance of the night. She danced for 3 songs and I was Entertained for all 3 songs. Paid $30 dances and made our way out. So, we had fun. I just don't know if driving out there in the future if the dances are the same price as other clubs that are closer to downtown.
