Club is Dead, officially gone.
It is official, Deja Vu Tacoma is dead and gone for failure to renew its cabaret license. The club has been a staple of the Tacoma strip club scene since the mid-1980 when South Tacoma Way was a significant player in the adult entertainment scene. At one time, more than a dozen clubs littered the strip for about 6 miles out to the military base entrance, today, the last of them has been officially killed off by local ordinances that have been designed to end the adult entertainment industry in Lakewood since the early 2000s.
The only local option now is Dreamgirls Foxes about 2 miles away, another Deja Vu owned club. Other than that, the Tacoma club scene is dead. The next closest option would be Kittens in south Seattle, a good 15 miles away.
RIP Deja Vu, when you were good, you were really good!
