As Wacky As Before.
This is the last stop my friend and I made after a semi-lengthy Saturday night out club hopping together. After a very disappointing experience at the Gold Club, it was heading towards 1AM, so to conclude the evening, I wanted to stop somewhere I was slightly more familiar with.
I was initially afraid that the parking lot at Wackos was going to be completely full and we’d be forced to park across the street, but there was a spot open conveniently in front of the building that used to be an old game room on the other end of the lot. When we park and head out towards the club, there is a moderate line of people almost reaching back to their partner liquor store. I couldn’t believe it when we first saw, but then I recalled that the clubs were technically supposed to fall under the 50% capacity regulation, so this was how Wacko’s management was enforcing it - which is believable because it’s considered the most popular strip club in Jacksonville now (if we’re judging solely on customer count) and JSO just loves to find reasons to harass them.
The doorman was letting people in by the numbers of people leaving the club, and thankfully the line moved moderately quick. After all, we only had an hour and some change left in the night, but we probably didn’t wait in line for more than 7 minutes. When we finally got to enter, all that was left to do was pay the $7 cover charge ($14) and walk through the metal detector to enter the floor. No COVID preventatives enforced on the custies, but there was a hand sanitizer dispenser on the counter.
